“I am so incredibly happy we went with Lindsey as our wedding photographer. I was one of those brides who was extremely picky about my photos & making sure they turned out perfectly. When I searched for photographers in the Austin area, I came across Lindsey's portfolio & was instantly mesmerized.
Her photos stood out as breathtaking, magical pieces of art. Each one told a beautiful, candid love story that made you fall in love with their love. Her photos weren't just your typical formal wedding pics, nor did she have any extremely cheesy or dumb poses, e.g. the bride & her bridesmaids holding their bouquets in front of their faces (my worst wedding pet peeve)! I showed my husband her work, & he was instantly hooked as well. When I first met her, I was very nervous because I had so many requests for our photos & I'm sure I came across as a bridezilla. Nonetheless, Lindsey was super cool & collected throughout our meeting. She was open to all my ideas & got me even more excited.
One week before the big day, it was projected to rain on our wedding. I can not tell you how many meltdowns I had in those 7 days. I cried & cried, fearing that I was not going to get the pictures I wanted at our venue (which I mostly chose based on the outdoor balconies & how it looked in the sun). I told Lindsey about my concerns, & she responded immediately. She not only helped me try to look at the positive side of things (i.e. overcast sky = best lighting for pics, a chance for cool rain & umbrella pics, etc), she was also prepared for the worst & came up with a game plan if rain was still an issue. When the stars did not align for sunny weather, she rolled with it, fitting outdoor pictures in between the intermittent showers. Lindsey was extremely calm throughout that day; I think this is so important, especially if things don't go as planned (which I now know happens 99% of the time)!
I was actually extremely nervous awaiting our pics, largely because I was worried how the rainy pics came out - I was absolutely certain I wasn't going to look as beautiful as I was hoping to due to the rain messing up my hair & makeup! When I saw our pictures, my jaw dropped at how GORGEOUS they came out. It was more beautiful than I had ever expected. All the indoor pictures turned out phenomenal, & even the outdoor pics were still just as pretty. She also did an AH-MA-ZING job capturing all the candid moments. I think those were by far my favorite pics, because they showed not only how fun & wonderful our wedding was, but how truly happy I was that day! Not only that, I felt beautiful in all the pics. Despite me feeling like nothing went right that day, I realized after looking at our pics that our wedding was SO much more intimate & full of love because of the rain. Lindsey's pictures reflected all that love, & I am so grateful to her for that. Finally, since it rained on our day, I asked Lindsey if she'd be okay with doing a "day after" photo shoot just so I could get those sun pics I had been longing for. She was all for it, so 2 months later, we got dressed in our wedding attire again and took sunny balcony pics that all came out so stunning. I am so happy we did that & that we had a photographer who was flexible & down for anything. If you want beautiful pieces of art for your wedding photos, & for friends/family to consistently tell you how amazing your photographer is, Lindsey is hands down the #1 photographer to have! "The number one complaint I have always heard from friends about their weddings was always the photographer. Thankfully I did NOT have this issue with Lindsey! I was so ecstatic with the job that Lindsey did for my husband & I’s wedding. It was an outdoor wedding at Nature’s Point in Lago Vista & the pictures we’ve seen are gorgeous. For our engagement pictures we had a recommendation of a local photographer in Houston do the photos, & while they weren’t bad – you could definitely tell a difference in the quality between what was done for our engagement photos & what was done for our wedding photos. The photos were able to make this bride extremely happy, & so grateful that we went with her. Lindsey was able to work well with a rowdy bridal party & capture every moment beautifully. She by far has been one of my favorite aspects of my wedding! I lost my dad a month before the wedding & she was extremely sensitive & made sure everything was very easy for me. "I have known Lindsey for over ten years & went into this fully aware of the amazing things she is capable of, & I was STILL blown away. Mine was a family shoot with a twist. Instead of getting in our Sunday best to go out & pose on a tree, we stayed in our pajamas & invited Lindsey into our everyday life. Our Saturday morning reading in bed, baking cookies, & just capturing the love that goes into all the little things. Those moments that aren't captured unless you've got someone like Lindsey. Her use of the mirrors in my home & her little interactions with my children really made for the most priceless shots.
